GRIF at the EPSC 2024 conference

The RiskSIL, and Tree modules of the GRIF software suite were a great success at the 4th edition of the European Conference on Plant and Process Safety. This event, held at the Barcelona Convention Center on December 1 and 2, 2024, brought together over 300 participants from 123 companies for various presentations on Functional Safety and Risk Management.

The organization was spearheaded by the EPSC (European Process Safety Center), an international non-profit organization of which TotalEnergies has been an associate member for many years. It comprises several dozen companies from the Energy sector and beyond, including ExxonMobil, Repsol, Eni, Aramco, Bayer, Sanofi, TÜV SUD, and others.

For the second consecutive edition, the GRIF team had the opportunity to showcase its tools in a large exhibition space reserved for stands. Numerous live demonstrations were conducted, allowing for in-depth discussions on calculation techniques related to the safety of systems and industrial installations.

Notably, one of the aspects that most impressed the professionals present was GRIF's ability to connect models and mix tools, particularly within the Boolean package. This rare feature in the market offers great flexibility and allows for addressing complex issues while maintaining a detailed modeling approach and robust calculations. The certification process, currently being finalized by TÜV SUD, was also very positively received during the discussions.
